This post is all about fun activities that you can do with your friends and roommates in college that are still covid safe!
I don’t know about you but I’ve found it super difficult to find fun things to do with my friends that are still safe. But now that the weather is starting to get nice again, there are a lot more fun activities! I hope that this post gives you some good ideas on ways to have fun during the last couple weeks of the semester.
Super Fun College Activities:
1. Go on a walk/hike:
Ever since the pandemic started, I seriously have found a new appreciation for going on walks! It is just such a good way to spend time alone or with friends while getting some exercise during the day.
If you are walking alone I definitely recommend listening to a podcast or music that you love! My favorite podcast is the Skinny Confidential Him and Her Show.
If you’re walking with friends it’s a great way to catch up and enjoy each other’s company while wearing your mask and staying safe!
2. Shop until ya drop:
Ok obviously we are all college students and probably don’t have a lot of money to be spending on shopping but it’s still a fun way to hang out with your friends and you don’t actually have to buy anything (I usually just look around and it’s still fun!)
If you live by a city or town with cute small businesses/shops this can also be a fun way to find new stores that you love while supporting small businesses!
3. Photoshoot:
The weather is starting to get so nice again which makes it the perfect time to take more pictures, especially with your friends before the semester ends.
Grab a friend or two and find some cute places to take pictures! If you’re not on campus this semester, that’s okay! You can always do this with a sibling, have a solo photoshoot, or just take pictures of random and pretty things you see during your day.

4. Paint Party!
This is another one of my favorite activities since the pandemic started! All you need is a cheap canvas (or computer paper) and some paint. You definitely don’t have to be a skilled artist (I am not and have still managed to make some paintings that I’m proud of) to throw a paint party!
You can either do the paint party in person with a few of your closest friends or you can set it up via zoom. Find a fun and easy painting tutorial online and follow it together or just paint whatever comes to mind. My friends and I always have a lot of fun at paint parties!
5. Picnic:
Pick a day when the weather’s going to be nice and plan a fun picnic for you and your closest friends!
You can pack your favorite snacks and maybe a fun game to play. Set up your picnic at a cute location and enjoy! Bonus points if you plan it right before sunset.
6. Explore somewhere in your town that you’ve never been before:
Whether you’re in person or remote this semester, try to find somewhere in your town that you’ve never been to and visit! This is a fun way to get out of the house, go for a drive, and see something new.
You can look up unique spots in your city/town and try to find one that you’ve never been to before. It could be anything from a random hiking trail, cute downtown shops (for window shopping 😉), or even a park.
7. Game night:
I know it sounds a little cheesy but playing games with your friends in college is actually so much fun!
All of my friends love a good game night and it’s just always a fun time filled with a lot of laughs (which we all need these days!)
Our favorite games to play are Catch Phrase, Scattegories, and 5 Second Rule. They are all great!
8. Make/buy crazy milkshakes or a dessert!
Okay, this one is a little random but there is a cafe near my school that sells CRAZY over-the-top milkshakes that my friend and I really want to try before the semester ends.
If you have any dessert or food item nearby that people rave about, try it! If not, you can always make something which could also be a fun thing to do, either by yourself or with some friends!
9. Movie night:
A movie night is also something I want to do a couple more times before the semester ends. They are always fun!
If you’re looking for a way to make movie nights a little more interesting, maybe you and a friend can both pick out a movie for the other person to watch, and then you can watch both movies together (kinda like a movie marathon!)
