Best Makeup Products - Positivity is Pretty

If you like makeup keep reading this post all about the best makeup for students. My favorite foundation, concealer, mascara, bronzer, blush, highlighter, lip gloss, setting spray, brushes and more! These are my go-to makeup products and can’t wait to share them with you!

I am by no means an expert when it comes to makeup. However, I have watched what feels like millions of makeup videos on Youtube (c’mon, I’m sure I’m not the only one, haha) and think I am becoming more of a makeup expert every day.

Even though that is definitely not true, I have found really great makeup products over the years that I love! Read all about the best makeup for students below.

1. Glossier Perfecting Skin Tint

This skin tint is one of my favorite products because it is great at evening out my skin tone without caking up my face.

It feels super light and is perfect for an everyday makeup look! Above all, it is a cruelty-free product which I try to buy when I can.

I use the shade G11 which is a light neutral shade. Most of the time I use this skin tint as my primer and it works great!

Although it is one of my more expensive makeup products it is definitely worth it and one small bottle has lasted me a year.

2. NYX Total Control Drop Foundation

This is the foundation I use when I don’t use the Glossier skin tint above. Similarly to the skin tint, this product is super light and has really good coverage.

I usually use this foundation when I am planning on wearing more makeup than usual.

Most importantly, it is a cheaper primer option and has really great coverage. I love this primer!

3. Tarte Shape Tape Concealer

This is my absolute favorite makeup product! If you don’t have this concealer yet I definitely recommend trying it.

It is a great concealer and covers my eye bags better than any other concealer I have tried. Above all, it lightens and enhances my face really well.

I use the shade 12s fair. Also, I know this product is pricey but I promise it is worth it and will last a long time.

4. Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer

Before I bought the shape tape concealer I used Maybelline’s instant age rewind concealer and it worked really great!

Similarly to the shape tape concealer, it has great coverage. It is also a cheaper option if you are looking for a more inexpensive concealer.

5. Too Faced Sweet Peach Glow Highlighting Pallet

This is one of my favorite highlighting palettes! The bronzer, blush, and highlighter all work really well and always illuminate my face nicely. The pallet is infused with peaches so it smells yummy as well!

6. Maybelline Newyork Define-A-Line Eye Liner

I don’t wear eyeliner often but when I do, I like to use this eyeliner. Most importantly, it is really easy to use and works well.

7. L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Lash Paradise Primer

I couple of months ago I had absolutely no idea eyelash primer was even a thing, haha. My aunt gave me this product to try because it had been working really well for her. I tried it and it definitely added some extra volume to my lashes.

Basically, it is a primer for your eyelashes that you put on before regular mascara. I would definitely recommend this product if you are looking for a way to give your lashes more volume.

8. L’Oreal Paris Telescopic Original Mascara

Okay, this is my all-time favorite mascara! First of all, it comes in a super aesthetic gold tube which I love. It also has a super thin and unique brush. The brush is slightly curved which allows you to get all of your eyelashes easier.

It is designed to elongate your lashes and definitely does! I use the shade black.

9. Glossier Balm Dotcom

This balm is one of my favorite makeup products! I love glossier products but actually didn’t know about this one until my college roommate let me borrow hers.

It is a lip balm that makes your lips super soft and glossy. Glossier has a ton of different flavors but I have only tried the mango one which smells delicious!

Also, this balm is a great moisturizer. My lips are usually super chapped but this balm always helped to hydrate my lips. It is also super glossy and I think works better than most lip glosses which is an added bonus!

10. Rimmel London Stay Glossy Lip Gloss

I always have a hard time finding lip glosses that I like. Most of the time, I find ones that are very sticky and uncomfortable to wear. For an everyday look, I tend to wear tinted chapsticks or the glossier balm above. However, I like to have a couple of go-to lip glosses for when I go out.

This lip gloss is the Rimmel London stay glossy lip gloss and is one of my favorites. It is a pinky red color that is super cute and glossy. Most importantly, it lasts for a while and is not sticky (my favorite thing about it, haha).

11. Rimmel London Vinyl Gloss

The Rimmel London Vinyl Gloss is my other go-to lip gloss. It is a super cute lighter pink shade, super glossy and sparkly!

I always use a light layer because it can definitely be too much shimmer if you don’t. If you use it sparingly, it is a very pretty gloss! I use the shade 100 Love Bug.

12. Urban Decay All Nighter Long-Lasting Setting Spray (The Best!)

The Urban Decay all nighter setting spray is my favorite setting spray! It will hold your makeup in place all day.

13. Amoore Makeup Brushes

A couple of years ago I was in need of some inexpensive makeup brushes that were still good quality. I found these brushes (all different sizes) on Amazon for under $15. This is a great price for this many brushes.

Unfortunately, I can’t find these brushes on Amazon anymore but I would recommend checking Amazon for makeup brushes before you buy super expensive ones.

These worked really well and there is no reason for you to waste money on brushes unless you’re going to be a professional makeup artist (if you are, you go girl!)
