5 Easy Habits To Improve Your Mental Health Every Day!

November 4, 2020 Leave a Comment

This post is about 5 easy habits to improve your mental health daily!

Ahhhh life can be overwhelming, especially in our world today with crazy schedules, differing political views, the pandemic and so many other things affecting our everyday lives and minds!

5 easy habits

It’s important to acknowledge your mental health and find little ways to improve your day. I know finding times to practice self-care can be difficult when you’re super busy.

That’s why this post is about 5 super easy things that you can do daily to improve your mental health. Let me know in the comments below if you try any of these practices! 🙂

5 EASY habits to improve your mental health daily.

1. Listen to your favorite music:

I love music because it always puts me in a better mood! I try to listen to music in the morning when I’m getting ready for class because it clears my mind and just helps to start my day on the right foot.

If you have a favorite song or album I definitely recommend listening to it throughout the day to clear your mind and improve your mental health.

2. Reflect on your day:

Reflecting on your highs and lows of the day is a great way to think about your day which is really good for your mental health.

This is something that I’ve been doing recently since I moved back to college and it’s honestly really nice!

All of the credit for this activity goes out to my roommate who started asking my friends and me at dinner our highs and lows of the day. It’s actually really fun to reflect on our day and to hear about our friend’s days as well. I definitely recommend trying this with your friends or family members!

3. Read Quotes Daily:

I honestly love reading quotes! They always make me think about things in a much deeper light and have a way of making me feel calmer.

I love seeing positive quotes on Pinterest or Instagram when I’m scrolling through my feed. Sometimes when I’m anxious I will look up positive quotes on Pinterest and they always make me feel better. Feel free to follow my Pinterest board below full of positive quotes!!

4. Be active:

Out of these 5 things, I am definitely the worst at is staying active but it’s honesty so great for your mental health! If you play a sport that’s awesome!

If not, maybe try going on more walks or runs. You can always grab some friends and go on a fun little walk.

5. Do something you love to do:

Make sure that you do at least one thing that you love to do daily! If you’re super busy it can literally be as small as listening to your favorite song on the way somewhere.

Just do something that you enjoy and makes you happy. If you have trouble coming up with fun and relaxing things to do daily I made a list of quarantine self-care activities below that you can print out for free!!
